Side Effects: In most cases, there are no serious side effects at all. In a clinical trial of over 7 million patients over four years, a new, more effective, and potentially more effective pain relief treatment called Voltaren® (diclofenac sodium) has been shown to reduce inflammation, improve pain, and protect the stomach lining from stomach acid, leading to improved overall health.

Kuntz added that while the study was not designed to provide comprehensive data, he believes that more research is needed to determine the safety and efficacy of Voltaren® in a broader population.
“We need more research to confirm these results,” Kuntz said. “We need more studies that look at safety data from the four studies.”
The study also found that diclofenac sodium was no more effective than placebo in reducing pain or pain relief. However, the study showed that diclofenac sodium was more effective than placebo in reducing inflammation.
In addition, the researchers noted that diclofenac sodium was associated with a lower risk of major adverse cardiovascular events. They also noted that the participants were younger and more male than those in the placebo group.
“There’s a good reason why we didn’t have these findings in a population of people with cardiovascular disease and those who take NSAIDs,” Kuntz said.
